About Us

Why team work is important to us

In translation, text optimization and communication in general, there is never just one correct solution, but there are several good ones. Many brains come up with many ideas, and this is why cooperation is at the core of our work ethic. This cooperation enables us to choose the solution that best fits your text. A further benefit is that all texts undergo high quality proof-reading by another expert.

Another advantage is that you can tap the creative potential of several communication experts, a perk that does not entail any additional costs for you.

We have been working together as a team since we started studying at the Center for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. We strongly believe in teamwork and our individual strengths complement each other well.

Daniela discovered her love for foreign languages very early on. After graduating from an economic-oriented secondary school and experience in the construction machinery business she eventually decided to make her passion, languages, her profession and studied translation at the University of Vienna. With several years of experience as a translator for a news monitoring agency under her belt, she is now not only working as a freelance translator but also puts her language and communication skills to use as a lecturer at University College Cork, Ireland.

German, English, Japanese

As the daughter of Japanese and Austrian parents, Michaela was literally born between the cultures, becoming a translator was thus a most natural choice for her. Her great passion for other cultures is also reflected in several long-term stays in the USA and Japan. Besides working as a translator, she is also a lecturer and doctoral student at the Center for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna. Her working languages bridge the greatest geographical distance, within the team, she is the calm voice of pragmatics and reason.

Katharina Tappeiner
German, English, Spanish

Apart from German and English, Katharina has chosen Spanish as her working language, in spite of her being born in South Tyrol, Italy. She spent some time in Spain and the UK, and she can draw on some experience in the field of computer sciences. Since completing her university studies, she has been working as an in-house translator in the energy sector; there, she employs her competences as an expert in communication as well as her organisational skills in an international environment.
